Update
Is it April already? I’ve been really bad at keeping this front page going, but the year has flown. Last week was typical. It started on Dartmoor with a preview of the Dartmoor Classic sportive with Sigma Sport-Specialized pros Tom Copeland and Wouter Sybrandy.
Then it was up to the Lakes to do a feature on Gary Sadler and his son Jack riding their favourite training loop around Coniston. And next day I was on the national elite road circuit, and part of the Northern Rock Cyclone sportive with Ross Creber.
In between I managed a little bit of cycling myself, with a little bit less running. It’s ok to run when you can’t get on a bike, but only just. You have to keep fit somehow.
I finished my book on how to train for sportives. It’s called Cyclosportive and will be published by A&C Black in September. I’m currently talking to publishers about two, and possibly three others. So more news soon, hopefully.
