Spring
Hello, well the Spring Classic bike races have been and gone, but even though the specialist racers who do them can take a breath now, cycling journalists can't. The Summer Tours start now, Italy in May, Spain in September, but the biggest is always the Tour de France in July. I'm busy working on the WH Smiths guide to the big French race at the moment, and since it has to be in the shops by early June the focus now falls on stage race speciallists and speaking to them to assess their form for July.
Meantime I've been doing plenty of features for Cycling Weekly and Cycle Sport, so I've included some of the background pictures from them for you to look at. I'll try and swap them over every couple of days, too

Here's a picture of Tour de France finisher and double pro road race champion, Colin Lewis, training in Devon. Colin who is now 63 and current national champion of his age group, is the subject of an up and coming Cycling Weekly 'Ride' feature.
Last week I was doing interviews in Belgium, and got to one or two races, including Nokere Koerse which was the British team, DFL's first time out against the ProTour guys. British rider Jeremy Hunt of the top Belgian team, Unibet was a fine third.
