2010 update
I’ve just started work
on my eighth book. It’s going to be called Cyclosportive, it’ll
be out next spring and is a training manual aimed at anyone who wants
to get into this new cycling phenomenon. And I do mean anyone; if you
are just thinking about your first event or are a real racing snake
after a blinding ride in something like the Etape du Tour, Cyclosportive
will help you do it.
I’m also talking to
another publisher about a longer term project, a book that will come
out in 2012. I can’t say too much yet, because it might jinx it,
but I’m really looking forward to
writing and photographing that.
Meanwhile
I’m still zipping all over the UK and Europe doing magazine pieces.
It’s great meeting so many different people who share a passion
for cycling. That’s one reason I enjoy doing the Rides series
for Cycling Weekly. This week it’s one of the directors of Wiggle,
Paul Bolwell, and next it’s Sarah Storey, the Paralympian cycling
and swimming star who has just been selected for the able-bodied Commonwealth
Games.
More soon………
Cheers
